About

I began my career in Accountancy as an Apprentice at the age of 17 in a local Accountancy firm.
 
I achieved my AAT qualification and throughout the 8 years I worked in this firm, I was promoted to Assistant Manager of the Corporate department. I then moved onto a Finance Manager position within a Construction Company.
 
Both of these roles have been varied and required a high level of responsibility both in terms of team members and financial responsibility.
 
My experience has given me the skills to adapt to new computer systems, effectively lead teams, meet deadlines and work within budget constraints. I am able to present my findings in a professional manner and provide workable solutions.
 
I am able to work alone or as part of a team. I am a focused individual but also friendly, positive and enthusiastic.
 
My skill set includes:
 • Management accounts
 • Payroll
 • Experience with Excel, Word, Outlook, Sage 50, Sage One, Quickbooks & Xero
 • Great data entry skills
 • High attention to detail
 • Good knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles

 • Familiar with the Construction industry scheme
 • Highly competent at calculating, advising and submitting VAT returns

A little bit about me

 

I have two young children and I enjoy spending time with them and my husband, whether its a walk in the woods or bike ride to a kyacking adventure off the beach, we love being out and about. 

 

I've been a member of St Austell Town Brass Brand since 2007 and I play percussion.
